Mechanical Screening Device
Carrying basket grille cleaning steps
Disassemble the basket
Remove the basket assembly
1. Operate the lifting system manually or electrically, slowly raise the basket along the rails to the appropriate height, remove the fixing parts (e.g. clips or bolts) and take it out.
2. If the basket is tightly connected to the sink or pump station, you can refer to the rotating groove structure: use a coin to snap the groove to rotate and separate the parts (applicable to specific old sink baskets).
Clearing debris and cleaning
1. Empty solid debris: Dump the grate residue (e.g. leaves, plastic, etc.) in the carrier basket into a garbage bag to avoid secondary contamination.
2. Deep clean the screen: Use high pressure to rinse the screen surface and crevices to clean the attached sludge and small particles;
3. Stubborn stains can be brushed lightly with a soft-bristle brush dipped in baking soda solution (or detergent), and then rinsed with water.

Inspection and Repair
1. Screen integrity check: observe whether the screen is broken, deformed or corroded, if the mesh is seriously blocked or damaged, it needs to be replaced in time.
2. Support structure check: make sure that there is no looseness or corrosion in the connection of guide rail, bracket, expansion bolts, etc., and reinforce or replace the parts.
Lubrication and Maintenance
Lubrication of movable parts: apply grease on the pulleys of the basket, grooves of the guide rails and other positions to ensure smooth lifting and lowering.
Anti-corrosion treatment: spray anti-corrosion agent after drying the metal parts, or use hot-dip galvanizing process to enhance.
Installation reset and record
1. Reinstallation of the basket: put the cleaned basket back to its original position along the guide rail, make sure the pulley is embedded with the guide rail, fix the bolt and test the stability of lifting and lowering.
2. Operation record: register the cleaning time, miscellaneous quality and equipment status for subsequent maintenance cycle adjustment.
Maintenance recommendations
Cleaning frequency: according to the quality of water miscellaneous quality, clean up once every 1-2 weeks, rainy season or high load scenarios need to increase the frequency;
Tool selection: avoid using steel wire ball and other hard tools to scrape the screen to prevent damage;
Protection: wear gloves during operation, and adjust the high-pressure pressure to medium-low gear to prevent sewage splashing.
By standardizing the cleaning process and regular maintenance, you can extend the service life of the basket grille and guarantee the interception efficiency.
