Traveling Lifting Rake Mud Scraper
Products Description
The TGN Series Traveling Lifting Rake Mud Scraper is specialized sludge and scum removal equipment designed specifically for advection sedimentation tanks in wastewater treatment plants. The equipment primarily consists of a traveling crane, mud scraping rake, scum skimming rake, drive device, and control cabinet. Its main function is to travel back and forth across the advection sedimentation tank, scraping settled sludge at the bottom into the sludge collection trough while simultaneously skimming surface floating scum into the scum collection trough. Depending on whether the mud and scum troughs are located at the same end or opposite ends of the tank, the equipment can flexibly adjust the lifting and lowering sequence of its rakes to achieve highly efficient, automated two-way or one-way scraping and skimming cycles.

Core Specific Selling Points
Coupling-Free Advanced Transmission for Easy Alignment
The drive system utilizes a novel transmission mechanism that completely eliminates the traditional coupling component. This innovative design not only makes the overall structure significantly more compact but also makes mechanical alignment during installation exceptionally convenient, drastically reducing assembly difficulty.
01
Flexible On-Demand Wheel Configurations
To adapt to different tank tracks and specific anti-slip or wear-resistant requirements, the traveling wheels are not limited to a single material. Users can freely choose between rubber wheels, nylon wheels, or steel wheels based on their actual operating conditions, offering extreme adaptability.
02
Simplified Structure & Ultra-Low Operating Cost
The entire machine is engineered based on principles of simplicity and lightweight construction. With a total motor power as low as 1.5kW to 2.0kW, it is highly energy-efficient. Furthermore, its routine maintenance is extremely straightforward, heavily reducing the long-term operational costs for water plants.
03
Smart Dual-Rake Operation Adapts to Any Tank Layout
Whether the mud and scum collection troughs are located at the same end or split between both ends, the equipment flawlessly adapts via the intelligent alternate lifting and lowering of the mud and scum rakes (e.g., one lifts while the other descends), perfectly matching various sludge and scum discharge processes.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: How does this machine accomplish both bottom mud scraping and surface scum skimming simultaneously?
A1: The scraper is equipped with independent mud rakes and scum rakes. If both collection troughs are at the same end, both rakes descend to scrape simultaneously. If they are at opposite ends, the machine lowers the mud rake during the forward trip to move sludge, and on the return trip, it lifts the mud rake and lowers the scum rake to skim the surface, completing a fully automated cycle.
Q2: Is the transmission system prone to failure? Is maintenance difficult?
A2: Maintenance is incredibly simple. The equipment utilizes a new type of transmission mechanism that directly removes the coupling-a part often prone to misalignment issues. This results in a more compact transmission structure, fundamentally reducing potential points of failure and making daily maintenance exceptionally convenient.
Q3: Our wastewater plant is in the north, and the pool surface might freeze in winter. Can we still use this equipment?
A3: Yes, it can be used, but you must explicitly specify "freezing region" when placing the order. The manufacturer will provide targeted anti-freeze designs or recommendations based on freezing conditions. Additionally, the electrical control system can be configured for random or remote control, facilitating unmanned operation during harsh weather.
