Products Description

The WNG Type Suspended Center Drive Mud Scraper for Thickening Tanks is core equipment explicitly designed for gravity sludge thickening tanks in wastewater treatment plants. Its primary function is to scrape and gather the thickened sludge from the periphery to the central mud collection pit at the tank bottom, facilitating subsequent sludge dewatering processes. Utilizing a suspended center drive structure, it consists mainly of a vertical reducer with an electric motor, a slewing bearing with external teeth, a main shaft, scraper arms, scraper blades, concentration grids, a steady flow cylinder, and a control cabinet. Driven by the transmission unit, the scraper arms rotate slowly around the tank's central axis to efficiently concentrate and collect the sludge.

Core Specific Selling Points

Bearing-Free Bottom Eliminates Harsh Maintenance

The main shaft features a highly rigid tubular structure, a design that completely removes the need for any bearings at the bottom of the tank. This brilliantly eradicates the painful and dangerous task of performing mechanical maintenance in the extremely harsh environment at the bottom of a sludge pool.

Smart Over-Torque Protection System

To address the common issue of foreign objects jamming the scrapers, the equipment can be fitted with a highly sensitive over-torque protection mechanism. If the scraper arms or blades are obstructed and the torque reaches the predefined safety threshold, the mechanism instantly activates, cuts off the power, and triggers an alarm to halt the machine, guaranteeing absolute operational safety.

High-Efficiency Compact Suspended Drive

By adopting a suspended central transmission design, the machine requires fewer transmission links. This not only substantially increases mechanical efficiency but also results in a highly compact overall structure, saving both space and energy.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: Why are there no bearings at the bottom of the tank? Is it stable enough?

A1: It is extremely stable. The main shaft is specifically engineered with a "high-rigidity tubular structure" that is strong enough to support the entire suspended scraping mechanism. The primary reason for not installing bottom bearings is to completely eliminate the need for maintenance personnel to work in the highly corrosive, extremely poor environment at the bottom of the sludge tank.

Q2: If large debris jams the scraper blades underwater, will the motor burn out?

A2: No. The equipment is optionally equipped with an intelligent "over-torque protection mechanism". During operation, if the transmission experiences excessive torque due to jamming or excessive mud accumulation and reaches the set limit, the system will automatically cut the power, trigger an alarm, and shut down the machine to protect the motor and mechanical parts.

Q3: Can the start, stop, and running times of the equipment be integrated into our automation system?

A3: Yes. For electrical control, users can customize the start, stop, and running times according to their needs. Furthermore, the control cabinet can be equipped with a PLC interface, making it exceptionally easy to integrate into the water plant's central control system for fully automated and remote operation.
