Common Failures and Troubleshooting Methods

Mechanical structure failure

Guide rail jamming or blockage
Phenomenon: basket lifting and lowering is not smooth, accompanied by abnormal noise or vibration .
Reason: sludge, solid impurities accumulation or deformation of the guide rail.

Solution
Regularly clean the guide rail and guide ring, clean up the deposits;
Adjust the level of the guide rail and repair the deformed parts.

Basket shaking/tilting
Phenomenon: the basket deviates from the guide rail during operation, poor stability.
Reason: loose support structure or installation deviation.

Solution
Reinforce the expansion bolts of the carrier and guide rail and check the welding points;
Use a level to calibrate the overall structure and readjust the installation angle.

Lifting system failure

Manual operation difficulties
Phenomenon: handle resistance, lifting basket lift is not smooth.
Reason: pulley wear, guide rail lubrication is insufficient or foreign matter stuck.

Solution
Clean the guide rail groove debris and apply grease;
Replace the worn pulley or guide bar.

Electric lift failure
Phenomenon: the motor can not start or suddenly stop during operation.
Cause: overload protection trigger, power supply failure or rake teeth jammed.

Solution.
Check the circuit to exclude disconnection or leakage problems ;
Clean up the debris stuck in the rake chain and adjust the overload protection device.

Filtration performance degradation

Screen clogged/broken
Phenomenon: water flow through the reduced speed, impurities penetrate the screen.
Cause: accumulation of large particles of impurities or corrosion and breakage of the screen.

Solution:
Regularly clean the sediment in the carrying basket and replace the broken sieve;
According to the water quality selection of corrosion-resistant materials (such as stainless steel).

Grid slag fishing is not clean
Phenomenon: rake teeth can not intercept or lift debris.
Reason: loose rake teeth, excessive clearance or chain wear.

Solution
Adjust the rake teeth adjustment spring to narrow the gap with the fence surface;
Replace the broken rake teeth or worn drive chain.

Equipment leakage
Phenomenon: water seepage or seal failure in the connection parts.
Solution: replace the aging sealing ring, tighten the bolt or shell.

Frequent overload start
Phenomenon: equipment repeatedly start and stop, the differential pressure increases abnormally.
Solution: Check the sensitivity of the water level meter and clear the blockage between the bars.

Maintenance suggestions
Regular inspection: clean the screen mesh and guide rail every week, lubricate the moving parts every month.
Anti-corrosion treatment: Hot-dip galvanize the metal parts (≥70μm) or choose stainless steel.
Load test: Verify the bearing capacity of the equipment before installation to avoid overload operation.

Through targeted investigation and standardized maintenance, the service life of the basket grille can be significantly extended and its interception efficiency can be guaranteed.
