The Screw Bar Screen can achieve efficient sewage separation while meeting hydraulic conditions. For mechanical separation devices, reliable, effective and hygienic operation are also important indicators.

It adopts a unique patented operating system, integrating the functions of screen residue filtration, flushing, transportation and press dehydration. The actual project requirements can be met by selecting different grating spacings (6-12mm) and grating basket sizes (with a diameter of up to 3000mm).

This series of screw bar screens is fully made of stainless steel and undergoes overall pickling and passivation treatment. The grating can be directly installed in the channel or in a box body.

Application Scenarios

Widely applied in sewage treatment projects including municipal sewage treatment, industrial wastewater treatment, food processing and paper-making.

Structure & Working Principle

 

This series of screw screens is installed incline-mounted directly in channels or tanks. Wastewater enters the screen basket via the screen end opening and flows through; scum, sediments and suspended solids are intercepted by screen bars. Screenings on the basket create a carpet effect, boosting filtration efficiency and separating solids smaller than screen gaps.

When the preset water level differential across the screen is reached, the raking arm fixed on the central shaft rotates. Raking teeth penetrate screen gaps to fully clean the basket, lift screenings to a vertical position and discharge them into the central hopper with a conveying screw.

To clear residual screenings on the rake, the rake returns approx. 15° after positioning, and is cleaned by a oscillating comb plate during the return stroke.

The conveying screw rotates to lift screenings from the hopper through the lifting pipe for discharge. Screenings are dewatered, compacted and discharged into containers or downstream conveying units. The entire process is clean and odorless.
