Product Application
The Rotating Scum Pipe is primarily used in sedimentation tank processes. It is specialized equipment designed to remove grease scum from the upper layer of sedimentation tanks.

Design Overview
Based on the principle of the rotating decanter, the Scum Pipe is developed for efficient scum removal. It features excellent hydraulic and mechanical performance, effectively skimming scum and floating oil from the supernatant of sedimentation tanks. The equipment ensures effective scum removal, reliable and responsive operation, compact size, and easy management.


Structure and Technical Requirements
The Rotating Scum Pipe mainly consists of:Manual drive device,Lifting device composed of screw assembly and universal guide rod,Hinged linkage mechanism, outlet float, underwater bearings, etc.
The drive device and universal guide rod convert the motion of the screw assembly into the rotational movement of the outlet weir and discharge pipe, thereby removing the upper-layer scum.
The float is characterized by high dimensional accuracy, good rigidity, reliable quality, durability, and a neat appearance.
During operation, the entire machine should function smoothly, without abnormal noise or leakage.
Working Process
The scum pipe length matches the dimensions of the sedimentation tank. Multiple weir openings with a central angle of 60°are arranged along the length of the pipe body. The pipe has sufficient strength and rigidity, with a straightness tolerance of ±5 mm and a length tolerance of ±3 mm.
The slotted scum pipe can rotate around its own axis, submerging the slot below the oil layer. The oil flows into the pipe under static pressure and is discharged out of the tank.
During normal operation, the pipe opening faces upward. When activated, the drive mechanism rotates the pipe downward to skim the oil. After completion, the drive device reverses to return the pipe to its standby position.

4.The design of the scum outlet chute shall be scientifically sound and reasonable, offering minimal hydraulic resistance.
5.The operating mechanism of the Rotating Scum Pipe shall be equipped with limit control to protect the mechanism from damage. The drive unit shall be stable and reliable.
6.Underwater rotating components shall provide excellent sealing. The sealing rings shall have a long service life and be easy to replace.
