
LSSF Type Screw Sand-Water Separator
Product Application
The LSSF Series is used in grit chambers of wastewater treatment plants to separate the grit-water mixture discharged from settling tanks.
Structure and Operation Process
The spiral grit-water separator consists of the following components:Shaftless screw;
Liner strips;U-shaped trough;Water tank;Flow guide plate;Overflow weir;Drive unit;Operation Process.
The grit-water mixture is fed into the water tank through the top inlet at one end of the separator.
High-density inorganic solids (e.g., sand particles) settle to the bottom of the trough.
The shaftless screw propels the settled grit upward along the inclined trough bottom.
After emerging from the liquid surface, the grit is conveyed further to ensure full dewatering before discharging through the sand outlet into a collection bucket.
Separated water overflows through the weir and flows to the plant's influent tank via the discharge port.



Product Introduction
This product is improved and designed based on the application of similar products at home and abroad, solving the defects of inconvenient liner replacement and non-adjustable axial position of the screw.
Its features are as follows:
1.Separation efficiency can reach 96%–98%, capable of separating particles with a diameter > 0.2 mm.
2.Adopts shaftless screw with no underwater bearings, ensuring easy maintenance.
Compact structure and light weight.
3.Equipped with a new-type transmission device; its key component-the reducer-is an advanced shaft-mounted type without coupling, enabling easy alignment during installation.
4.Liners adopt quick-install structure for convenient replacement.
5.The axial position of the screw is adjustable, facilitating the adjustment of the safety clearance between the screw tail and the tank wall.

1.The full name shall be indicated in accordance with the model designation format.
2.Service environment (indoor, outdoor or other conditions).
3.If a reinforced concrete water tank is adopted, the engineering design documents of the relevant parts shall be provided.
