Traveling Bridge Grit Collector
Product Description
The Traveling Bridge Grit Collector is primarily applied in the aerated grit chambers of municipal wastewater treatment plants. It is designed to efficiently separate and extract sand, gravel, and heavy inorganic solids from the urban sewer network to protect downstream equipment. Currently, aerated and vortex grit chambers are the two most common pre-treatment configurations.
Working Principle
The system comprises a service bridge drive, scum skimmer, grit suction unit, rail mechanism, and control panel. Traveling back and forth along the rails, the unit simultaneously pumps accumulated grit from the hopper to the grit classifier, while the skimmer directs surface scum into a collection trough. To withstand highly abrasive wastewater environments, the suction system is specifically equipped with heavy-duty, wear-resistant submersible or vertical pumps for reliable, long-term operation.
Product Features
1.Efficient Design: Simple structure with reciprocating suction and skimming.
2.Clog-Free Pumping: Wear-resistant vortex pump requires no priming.
3.Clean Surface: Uni-directional skimming ensures a clean water surface.
4.Odor-Free Grit: Aeration washes organics away for odor-free discharge.
5.Smart Control: Easy operation with both local and remote control modes.
