Rotary bar screens consist of two parts: an upper steel plate and a lower bar system (for sludge removal). The material of the bar screen is generally related to the water quality; the specific form and material must be determined based on the characteristics of the wastewater, such as pH level and the size of the solids. Materials include carbon steel and stainless steel. Carbon steel can be used in river channels and stormwater pumping stations, while stainless steel is preferable for the underwater parts in sewage pumping stations and wastewater treatment plant inlet pumping stations to extend service life.
The advantages of this equipment are as follows:
(1) It has self-cleaning capabilities, operates smoothly, and is noiseless;
(2) It does not clog, making it very suitable for manufacturing fine bar screens with a spacing of 1-10mm. In actual production, the effect of using medium-coarse bar screens with a spacing of 10-20mm is also satisfactory;
(3) Due to the support of the rake teeth and hooks, the trapped dirt will not fall, and it is easy to remove the dirt when it flips at the top;
(4) It has a high degree of automation, high separation efficiency, low power consumption, no noise, and good corrosion resistance. It can ensure continuous and stable operation without supervision and is equipped with an overload protection device. The operating interval can be adjusted arbitrarily as needed to achieve periodic operation; it can also be automatically controlled according to the liquid level difference before and after the screen, and has a manual control function for convenient maintenance, resulting in very little daily maintenance workload. Given the above advantages, it can be widely used in: debris screening in municipal pipelines, pre-screening in sewage treatment, water intake points of water plants and cooling water inlets of power plants, and pre-screening in wastewater treatment in textile, printing and dyeing, chemical, leather, papermaking, and brewing industries to prevent pump blockage.
Maintenance:
1. Check the electrical wiring and emergency stop function of the internal inlet bar screen weekly to ensure they are functioning properly.
2. Add calcium-based grease to the bearing housings of the oil filler.
3. Change the lubricating oil in the reducer regularly and check the reducer oil level frequently.
4. The equipment should not be left idle for extended periods; it needs to be run idle periodically.
