Determining the installation location of a submersible mixer hinges on a comprehensive assessment of the pool structure, water flow requirements, and treatment process. Here are the specific methods:
I. Factors for Selecting the Installation Location
**Pool Shape and Depth:**
* **Circular Pool:** Suitable for symmetrical installation to ensure even water flow distribution.
* **Rectangular Pool:** Diagonal layout or multiple units connected in series is recommended to avoid dead zones.
* **Water Depth Exceeding 3 Meters:** Layered mixing is necessary to prevent bottom sediment buildup.
**Equipment Installation Height:**
* The impeller should be 30-50 cm from the pool bottom. Too close, and sludge may be sucked in, causing blade wear; too far, and the bottom agitation effect will be weakened.
**Mixed Solution Concentration:**
* When the mixed solution concentration exceeds 8%, the installation angle needs adjustment. A 5-10 degree tilt can enhance the agitation effect.
**Multiple Unit Collaboration:**
* The distance between adjacent units should be no less than 1.5 times the effective mixing radius to prevent water flow interference.
II. Inlet/Outlet Water Direction Matching Principles
Water Flow Direction and Impeller Rotation Direction:
Clockwise rotating equipment should be placed on the right side of the inlet, and counterclockwise equipment on the left side, utilizing fluid dynamics to improve mixing efficiency.
Outlet Location:
It is recommended to place the outlet at 2/3 of the agitator's effective radius to ensure uniform distribution of suspended solids and avoid short-circuiting.
High Viscosity Liquid Treatment:
The height difference between the inlet and outlet should be controlled within the range of 0.8-1.2 meters. Excessive height difference will cause vortex cavitation.
Special Process Requirements:
The inlet and outlet orientations in the nitrification/denitrification zones need to be adjusted according to dissolved oxygen distribution. Generally, the inlet faces the upper oxygen-rich zone, and the outlet faces the lower anoxic zone.
III. On-site Operation Precautions
Flange Connections:
Double-layer waterproof gaskets must be used. Apply sealant before tightening the bolts.
Cable Mounting Bracket:
Anti-vibration rubber pads should be installed at the contact points with the pool wall. If the vibration amplitude exceeds 0.5 mm, the position needs to be recalibrated.
Commissioning Phase:
First, perform a short test run to confirm the direction of rotation and observe whether the water flow trajectory matches the design flow pattern.
After 72 Hours of Operation:
Check for displacement of the mounting brackets. Loose anchor bolts are a common cause of installation misalignment.
Winter Installation:
Allow space for thermal expansion. When the ambient temperature is below 5℃, stainless steel equipment requires extended idling preheating time.
IV. Installation System Selection
Portable Installation System:
Suitable for pool depths less than 4 meters. Models QJB0.85/8 and QJB1.5/6 are available. The angle can be adjusted horizontally and vertically.
Vertical Installation System:
Suitable for pool depths greater than 4 meters. A concrete foundation or steel structure base is required at the bottom of the pool.
Material Selection:
The installation system can be made of stainless steel or corrosion-resistant carbon steel. Customers must provide the pool depth and shape drawing when ordering.
Multiple Mixers:
They can share one lifting system or each mixer can have its own installation system.
