The Rotary Disc Aerator is a key piece of equipment in the oxidation ditch process of sewage treatment plants, and it is a horizontal-shaft surface aerator. Its functions include oxygenating sewage, driving the circular flow of sewage in the ditch, and preventing the sedimentation of activated sludge, thereby enabling full mixing and contact between sewage and oxygen to accomplish the biochemical process. It features a large working water depth, strong mixing capacity, high driving force, high oxygenation efficiency, high power efficiency, excellent anti-corrosion performance, a long service life, as well as flexible assembly, easy installation and maintenance, and low operating costs.

2.The rotating discs are injection-molded from lightweight, high-strength glass fiber reinforced polypropylene (PP-GF), featuring excellent corrosion resistance;
3.The arrangement of bosses on the discs adopts optimized hydraulic design, with varied height and density of the protrusions. This increases the gas-liquid contact area, resulting in high oxygenation capacity and excellent flow pushing effect. Under identical conditions, its aeration and oxygenation capacity is more than 10% higher than that of similar domestic products, and the applicable operating water depth can reach approximately 5 m.
Working Principle
The rotary disc aerator consists mainly of a drive unit, an elastic coupling, a rotating shaft, discs and a bearing housing. The motor drives the horizontal output shaft of the reduction gearbox to rotate the discs of the aerator. During operation, the discs generate numerous small water curtains that entrain air into the water. Meanwhile, the blind hole structure on the discs can introduce a large amount of air, which mixes thoroughly with the wastewater, allowing oxygen in the air to dissolve into the water and thus completing water oxygenation. The rotating discs propel the sewage to circulate forward in the oxidation ditch, keeping the activated sludge in the ditch in a suspended state.
