Volute Screw Press
Products Description
Widely applicable to sludge from municipal, domestic, agricultural, and diverse industrial sectors (such as food, chemical, manufacturing, and energy).
Structure and Working Principle
The core of the dewatering press features a filtration unit made of interlocking fixed and moving rings, penetrated by a central screw shaft. Narrow gaps between these rings filter out the liquid, while the inner chamber fills with flocs. As the screw shaft rotates, it conveys and compresses the sludge towards the back-pressure plate, forming a solid sludge cake. The continuous rotation also drives the moving rings to shift constantly, creating a self-cleaning mechanism for the filter gaps and completely preventing clogging.

Dewatering Principle
After undergoing gravity thickening in the thickening zone, the sludge is conveyed to the dewatering zone. As it advances, the gradual decrease in both the filtration gaps and the screw pitch, combined with the resistance from the back-pressure plate, generates immense internal pressure. This continuously reduces the volume of the sludge, ultimately achieving thorough dewatering.
Main Features
1.Direct dewatering of low-concentration sludge, significantly reducing infrastructure costs.
2.Fixed and moving rings replace traditional filter cloths, providing a self-cleaning and clog-free mechanism that easily handles oily sludge.
3.Low-speed operation with minimal noise and low energy consumption, using only 1/8 the power of a belt press and 1/20 of a centrifuge.
4.Fully automatic control ensures simple operation and management.
